Jerome Rault is an independent director and producer specialising in music videos and commercials. With over 20 years in the international business sector, Jerome's priority as a filmmaker is for delivering on time, on budget and to specification. A proponent of the belief that fimmaking is equally valid as an art form as it is as a business, Jerome emphasises achieving the right balance between the two.
From a creative perspective Jerome's fashion background and artistic interests (including painting & photography) inform his creative decisions. A graduate of Bond University's acclaimed film school, Jerome expertly fuses narrative and performance, amalgamating a refined and innovative theatrical & design perspective that manifests in his rich production style. A firm believer in bringing a true soul and honesty to all his projects, his work strives to go beyond simple entertainment.
Known for his precision and attention to detail, in the pre-production phase Jerome plans extensively during the scripting phase before scouting, storyboarding and test shooting every project. During the production phase Jerome emphasises discipline, respecting schedules and task completion based on the test shoot’s results. Finally, in the post-production phase Jerome implements strict scheduling and communication regimes with the relevant stake-holders to guarantee the result meets the specifications of the project.
